Amanda is 12 years old and is in 6th grade at Rosecreek Elementary School. She loves to eat Chinese food and drink Oreo milkshakes and Gatorade. Her favorite colors are black and purple. Amanda has one brother named Jeremy, a dog named Hazmat and a cat named Bubba.
Amanda first tried climbing 2 years ago at a state fair on a portable climbing wall. Since then, she has climbed several times at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Gateway plaza in downtown Salt Lake City. Chris B., one of Momentum's part time route setters, runs the climbing wall at Dick's Sporting Goods. When he saw Amanda climb, he encouraged her to try out Momentum's climbing team which she ultimately joined about 2 months ago.
Amanda enjoys bouldering as well as sport climbing and is looking forward to competing when sport climbing season begins. She is also excited about going on the outdoor climbing trips with the team.
Besides rock climbing, Amanda likes volleyball, basketball, playing guitar and listening to music. Her favorite bands are Alesana and Cradle of Filth. The place she would most like to go on vacation is Nashville, Tennessee.
The person Amanda most looks up to is her father because he is taller than her. Apparently she has a sense of humor that we don't get to see much of as well! :)
Someday, Amanda would like to be a scientist. Since she has no idea at this point in time what she would do with $1,000,000, perhaps she could save it and someday use it for research and discover something really cool!

Amanda is an awesome climber. I am so impressed with her abilty! We often challenge each other to try new problems and share beta. She is alot of fun to boulder with. I have really enjoyed getting to know her.
