Apparently this week's question spurred a variety of answers but this is what I came up with. I'm sure I'll find out if this is correct relatively soon :)
- John Bachar, Peter Croft, Michael Reardon, and Derek Hersey are all known for being experts at free-soloing, a style of climbing where no protection is used.
- Peter Croft is famous for free-soloing Astroman in Yosemite.
- Derek Hersey died free-soloing Sentinel Rock in Yosemite in 1993 where it is believed that he encountered rain.
- Michael Reardon is presumed dead after being hit by a rogue wave and washed out to sea while deep water soloing in County Kerry, Ireland.
- Peter Croft and John Bachar are currently guiding for Vertical Adventures Rock Climbing School in Southern California.
